I think this was the first heirloom tomato I ever grew. It’s a German heirloom with red, 3-5cm fruit that look deceptively like supermarket tomatoes but are one of the tastiest salad tomatoes I’ve grown with that beautiful tomato umami that has me reaching for them whenever I wander past the plants.
Easily grown, high yielding variety. Fruit are firm and store well. Climbing variety, but tends to grow lower and more bushy than most.
Sow in spring in warm, bright place, harden off outdoors and plant into warm soil when danger of frost has passed.Staking variety.
