'Cœur de Pigeon'
A French heirloom whose name translates as Heart of Pigeon. It produces pretty, slender trusses of elongated, flavoursome, red, cherry tomatoes on productive vines to around 1.2m tall. Their dense flesh makes them well-suited to lunch boxes as they are less prone to juicy explosions than other cherry types.
You can harvest semi-ripe trusses at the end of the season, hang them indoors and they will ripen beautifully for weeks. They also dry well.
