Orange Banana is one of my favourite varieties for sauces and roasting. Dense, elongated, full-flavoured fruit with few seeds makes them perfect for drying and delicious, thick sauces.
The fruit holds well on the plants, meaning you can allow loads to ripen and harvest big batches. The plant has unusual, fine, elongated leaves which made me thing the plants were unwell when I first grew them, but they’re just extra special!
Sow in spring in warm, bright place, harden off outdoors and plant into warm soil when danger of frost has passed.
Staking variety.
