$7.50

Blitum bonus-henricus

Clumping perennial plant to 60cm tall and wide, with edible new shoots and leaves. In early spring shoots & leaves are tender cooked briefly as spinach, older leaves can be bitter and benefit from longer cooking and are good combined with other greens. Dormant in winter. Divide clumps every few years and share with your friends. Cut back hard when flower shoots form to promote tender growth and prevent seeding.

Sow in winter in seed-raising mix and pot up when seedlings are large enough to handle.
